Purpose:

Create a new identity
for an upcoming expedition journey using mythology as a storytelling connection

National Geographic Society's Pristine Seas is a world-renowned ocean conservation program aimed at protecting the ocean's last vital places. The launch of their five-year expedition set in motion a need for a new identity and a refresh to their current branding.

Storytelling, Brand Identity and Art Direction

Mythology as Storytelling

Pristine Seas Rebrand

Logo, marks, and other brand elements were refined and improved on in preparation for the inaugural expedition.

Updates to the existing logo, as well as expanded marks and badges.

Final Installation

Final graphics and vinyl being applied to the expedition ship, the Argo.

All featured work is part of an unrealized concept and realized branding update for the National Geographic Society’s program, Pristine Seas, with the help of Erin Isla Roman. Jason and the Argonauts are illustrated by Christina Balit and generated by help of ai, and installation photos are taken by Dani Bradford.
